The village of Islesford is located
on Little Cranberry Island, Maine, one of five islands that comprise
the Town of Cranberry Isles. Islesford lies approximately three
miles off the southern tip of Mt. Desert Island, home to Bar Harbor
and Acadia National Park. Get
to know Islesford
Islesford can be reached by private boat, passenger ferry or water
taxi. Theater patrons interested in sailing to the island should
call the town office and speak with Eric at 207-244-4475 about reserving
a mooring. To reach the performance by ferry, patrons take the
Cranberry Cove Ferry out of
Southwest Harbor. For directions, fare and schedule information,
please follow the link. John Dwelley is the captain of the water
taxi Delight. To reach the theater in "wicker-chaired
comfort" from Southwest or Northeast Harbor, call John at 207-244-5724.
Once on island, find the Islesford Neighborhood House (home to the
Islesford Theater Project) by following the road as it wends to
the right up from the town dock. At the top of the hill, just past
the Congregational church, take a left. The Islesford Neighborhood
House is the first building facing the street on your left. Learn

Patrons interested in dining before the show are in luck. June-August,
Islesford is home to the
Islesford
